RERA's Tayseer Initiative Offers Service Charge Relief for Unit Owners
Updated: Apr 02, 2025, 05:39 PM
On March 24, the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) launched the ‘Tayseer’ initiative in collaboration with Joint Owner Property (JOP) management companies. The initiative offers flexible payment plans for property owners for overdue service fees, with a minimum term of six months.
RERA urges all property owners to contact their management companies to avail of the service. The list of JOP management companies is available on the official Dubai Land Department (DLD) website. Furthermore, the RERA calls on more JOP management companies to join and contribute to these efforts.
Mohammed Ali Al Bidwawi, the DLD's acting CEO of RERA, confirmed that the Tayseer program reflects the DLD's continuous dedication to improving the sustainability and preparedness of the real estate industry while fortifying public-private partnerships.
He continued, “Dubai Land Department continues to launch impactful initiatives that keep pace with market developments and address the needs of property owners and investors. The ‘Tayseer’ initiative aligns with our vision of delivering proactive, customer-centric services that build trust and balance economic and social priorities.”
The RERA and JOP management companies launched the Tayseer initiative following a meeting between both parties. In the meeting, they discussed mechanisms for settling current overdue service fees by property owners. This resulted in 19 companies joining the initiative.
Both parties agreed to open registration for the Tayseer initiative through the JOP management companies for two months. This involved a commitment from these companies not to initiate enforcement actions against property owners during the duration of their payment plan.
Through flexible service charge settlements, RERA’s Tayseer initiative aims to lessen the financial strain on property owners and help the Dubai real estate market become more financially stable.
