DLD Partners with REACH to Boost Technological Prowess in the Region

Dubai Land Department (DLD) has teamed up with REACH, a globally recognized real estate technology accelerator, to drive innovation in Dubai’s real estate sector and aims to expand to the greater Middle East region.

The partnership sets the stage for the entities to launch, REACH Middle East, a new initiative aiming to attract emerging proptech companies to the Emirate and the region.

Advancing real estate innovation

DLD is set to play a key role by promoting the initiative through its media channels, engaging investors, providing regulatory support, and guiding startups. It will offer crucial insights and data on Dubai’s real estate market and facilitate pilot programmes for participating companies within the Emirate, allowing their innovations to be tested in a real-world environment.

On the other hand, REACH will handle program operation from investment funding, mentorship, and selecting participating startups. It will also establish a regional office in Dubai with the DLD’s support to strengthen its presence in the region.

Director General of DLD, His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, emphasizes the significance of this collaboration. He says,

“We remain committed to supporting startups in this field and providing them with the right environment to thrive. This will drive the development of innovative and sustainable real estate solutions, further strengthening Dubai’s global leadership in the sector.”

Similarly, Managing Partners of SCV and NAR REACH, Dave Garland and Tyler Thompson, attribute REACH’s global success to strong partnerships with visionary organisations. Their collaboration with DLD marks a significant milestone in bringing this vision to the Middle East.

Overall, the partnership aligns with DLD’s broader strategy to attract specialized US investment to Dubai. It also coincides with preparations for PropTech Connect 2026, a first-of-its-kind event hosted by DLD. Presenting the world’s premier real estate technology conference and exhibition, the event is set to unite top industry leaders and foster technological innovation in the real estate sector worldwide.
