DP World’s National Industries Park Set to Host $15 Million Cars24 Automotive Centre
Updated: Nov 05, 2025, 09:33 AM

Dubai takes a profound stride in bolstering its automotive infrastructure with a new Cars we refurbishment and processing hub at DP World’s National Industries Park (DP World NIP), backed by $15 million investment. The 220,000 sq. ft. auto refurbishment facility is set to start construction in November and open by August 2026.
The first phase alone is expected to generate over 200 jobs and handle upwards of 100,000 vehicles per year. With this move, Dubai will strengthen its role as a fast-growing centre for regional and global automotive trade. Strategically located within DP World’s logistics ecosystem, the site will have seamless access to ports, trade lanes, and economic zones.
The strategic positioning and construction of the new automotive centre was selected keenly to provide heightened connectivity. By doing so, this Dubai automotive hub will be able to support a myriad of services to meet the rising demand from electric vehicle brands and Chinese auto manufacturers entering Middle Eastern markets.
In detail, these services include managing refurbishment, pre-delivery inspections, after-sales servicing, and export preparation, to help extend vehicle life cycles and reduce the need for new production. Boosting EV manufacturing ensures that Dubai is boosting sustainable connectivity options, as each unit is designed to run on solar power, ultimately aligning the centre with Dubai’s sustainability objectives.
Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO of Parks & Zones at DP World GCC, says, “Cars24’s new facility will anchor Dubai’s position as the region’s automotive hub.” He also adds that by connecting global manufacturers and regional distributors, DP World is creating a platform that accelerates growth and strengthens supply chains.
To ensure only the best quality output, each vehicle passing through the new hub will undergo over 140 internal checks. Along with this, each unit will also receive all necessary approvals from Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority and certification from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
Meanwhile, Abhinav Gupta, CEO of Cars24 Arabia, says that the facility will set a benchmark for speed, sustainability, and reliability in the automotive sector. Furthermore, he sheds light on how the centre’s location within NIP will provide seamless access to trade routes across GCC and international markets.
Founded in 2015 and valued at over $3 billion, Cars24 auto hub Dubai operates an online marketplace for buying and selling used vehicles across multiple markets, bringing prestige, expertise, and value, whilst also promising knowledge and high standards for the new hub to thrive and match Dubai’s continuous success in every sector it embarks on.
All in all, this latest development forms part of DP World’s expanding automotive cluster across NIP and Jebel Ali Free Zone, which already accommodates leading auto manufacturers and EV distributors. It also aligns with Dubai’s long-term strategy to cement its position as a global automotive and mobility hub, following a dedicated car market initiative unveiled by DP World and Dubai Municipality in 2024.
