Updated: Nov 12, 2025, 05:47 PM

Dubai Industrial City, a part of TECOM Group PJSC, has signed an agreement with Legend Holding Group to establish an AED 300 million comprehensive mobility and green energy solutions hub, further strengthening Dubai’s position as a regional powerhouse for manufacturing and logistics.
The upcoming DIC Green Energy Hub, set to cover over 1 million sq. ft., will act as a comprehensive one-stop centre for the automotive sector, streamlining supply chain operations and accelerating the UAE’s push toward sustainable mobility. The project is scheduled to launch in 2027. Saud Abu Alshawareb, the Executive Vice President of Industrial at TECOM Group, said:
“Bolstering the mobility sector is essential to advancing future-focused growth, and we welcome Legend Holding Group’s integrated hub to Dubai Industrial City.”
Additionally, he states, “Dubai Industrial City Green Energy Hub will not only bolster the UAE’s manufacturing capabilities but also significantly enhance the automotive supply chain within the region. Our robust infrastructure and strategic location are designed to support such ambitious projects that foster innovation and create a thriving manufacturing ecosystem aligned with the visionary Operation 300bn, Make it in the Emirates, and Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’ strategies.”
EV Motorcycle Assembly and After-Sale Services
The popularity of EV manufacturing is something the city is already working to bolster. Most recently, DP World’s NIP announced its intention to host $15 million Cars24 automotive centre. Now, this latest announcement depicts how the EV manufacturing is extending beyond just cars. Notably, the new hub will feature dedicated assembly lines for Legend Motorcycles.
In detail, it plans to produce 15,000 industrial motorcycles annually across electric (EV), non-electric, and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. It will also serve as a regional base for Legend Motors’ aftersales services, supporting multiple dealerships under the brand. The integrated design of the facility is expected to drive efficiencies in manufacturing, logistics, and distribution, providing a significant boost to the UAE’s growing electric mobility ecosystem.
Dubai’s Growing Industrial Ecosystem
Dubai Industrial City is home to more than 1,100 companies and over 350 operational factories, offering a strategic base for industries spanning automotive, logistics, and advanced manufacturing. Its sector-focused masterplan and proximity to major transport corridors provide unmatched access to local and international markets.
The addition of Legend Holding Group’s new automotive and green energy hub further reinforces Dubai Industrial City’s role as a catalyst for sustainable industrial growth and innovation—supporting the UAE’s broader mission to become a global centre for advanced manufacturing and next-generation mobility.
