Updated: Oct 16, 2025, 04:49 PM
Dubai Municipality recently revealed ‘Dubai Live’ during its participation at GITEX GLOBAL 2025. This advanced digital platform is designed to manage city operations, municipal activities, and urban systems across the city in real time, showcasing technological prowess and allowing the Emirate to take a significant step forward in operations management.
Additionally, the new platform represents a major milestone in smart city governance, integrating cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) in urban management, Digital Twin models, and predictive analytics in city planning to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and decision-making across Dubai’s robust and rapidly growing urban landscape.
Eng. Mariam Al Muhairi, CEO of the Building Regulation and Permits Agency at Dubai Municipality, said:
“Dubai Live is one of our most important digital projects, designed to centralize information and operations across the city and provide instant access to comprehensive data. It enables us to display and monitor all city operations from a single hub, track real-time changes, and deliver accurate live analytics. More than just a monitoring system, it is a powerful tool for strategic and investment decision-making, offering an interactive, real-time platform that supports sustainable urban management.”
Dubai Municipality’s ‘Dubai Live’ curates and consolidates crucial data on infrastructure, construction, and urban planning activities throughout licensing to completion, via the Urban Planning Observatory. The observatory then uses advanced analytics on facilities, infrastructure, and buildings alongside data on population and economic densities. This helps forecast future needs to support Dubai’s continued growth.
The platform also boosts connectivity of transport and mobility systems across land, air, and maritime sectors, offering a holistic view of the city’s daily operations and performance. Overall, the initiative represents a significant step forward in urban operations management, integrating advanced technologies such as AI, predictive analytics, and Digital Twin models.
By combining real-time data integration with AI-driven insights, Dubai Live, a Dubai smart governance platform, will enhance urban planning, optimize resource management, and enable rapid emergency responses. It will also improve inspection and monitoring systems, directly contributing to Dubai digital transformation goals and sustainable development objectives.
Muahiri also mentioned how Dubai Live is built on innovation and advanced technologies, demonstrating Dubai Municipality’s commitment to proactive service delivery, operational excellence, and enhanced quality of life. All in all, Dubai Live strengthens Dubai’s global position as a leader in smart city innovation and digital governance.
Ultimately, Dubai Live aims to elevate the experience of residents, businesses, and visitors alike, reinforcing Dubai’s vision to remain the best city in the world to live, work, and invest in. Thus, these moves align with Dubai’s many strategic goals and agendas to ensure the country stands as a leader in the economy, finance, tourism, and many other sectors.
